PowerPoint is an old standby when it comes to presentation tools...but there is a reason is has been around for decades and is still the primary presentation tool used at tech conferences: it is reliable, versatile, and easy to use. And, if a presentation is done well is a creative, effective way to supplement presentations.
As with Word, the full/app version of PowerPoint is more robust and has more features (and has Autosave). The design functions and suggestions are impressive, the ability to draw, insert narration, video, screen captures, are all excellent. The training and help functions here also provide good support. But, as with most things the best help is to as a friend or teacher how to do something you want.
A challenge for some users is the ability to put in cool transitions and animations, but after a bit we learn that less is sometimes more.
